My father's cousin Ronnie Erickson who he was very close to growing up in North Dakota. Ronnie was five years older than my dad and he looked up to him. When the war hit in 1941 my dad joined the Air Corps and ended up flying 35 missions aboard twelve B-17s with the 95th Bomb Group out of Horham Airfield in England. Ronnie joined the Army and ended up in the Pacific Theater. Ronnie shown here in basic training in 1943.
