My father, Lt. Ernest Anders Erickson (standing-10th from left) in a group shot when he was a pilot instructor at Randolph Field in Texas in 1945. He had completed his 35 missions with the 95th Bomb Group flying in the 334th Squadron out of Horham Airfield in England.

After he returned to the states, Ernest took leave to visit his family in Bismarck, North Dakota. Till July of 1945 he was stationed at a couple airfields in Texas and Arizona. He returned home after the war with a lifetime of stories and he was only 22 years old.
