March 27th thru August 26th, 1944 out of Horham Airfield, England.


Ernest Anders Erickson (bottom row - far left) at Gatow Airfield, on the edge of Berlin, Germany during a project with Lockheed Aircraft and the Luftwaffe (German Air Force).

The group is standing in front of a F-104 Starfighter. The ground crew, pilot, and German and Lockheed employees were working on, "The Zell Project." (zero-length launch).

Looking straight into the sun, my father should have kept his sunglasses on. His smile is fantastic and he had a great time working with the Germans. Our family lived in Munich for close to three years during his work In Germany.
