Here are their tools of the trade of their day. Most of these well used and worn tools of Ernest Anders & Frank Severin Erickson's come from the 1920 - 1990s. I use many of these tools at the studio. Some are my favorites to use. Their family history means a lot to me and in that, using them in my work I feel continues their love of craftsmanship. I love vintage objects and these fit into that quite well. Whenever I see these around the studio, I smile, knowing where they came from. Half were originally used in North Dakota and the rest from my dad's carpentry days in Sunset Beach, Hollywood, Encino and Venice, California. The sea-fishing lure, the two levels, the hand plainer, framing awl, ball-peen hammers, files, screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, hand saw, the square and a wooded cigar case all have their stories to be reminisced. |
