Left to right, cousins Ronnie Erickson at twenty three years old, son of Helmer Erickson and Zena (Zenaieda A. Erickson) Henninger - Wanner at twelve years old, daughter of Klavdia & Andy Erickson stand in front of my grandparent's house at 801 Jefferson Avenue in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Along with my father Ernest Anders Erickson, the photograph was taken soon after his graduation form Bismarck High School in 1940.

A little over a year later Ronnie would join the Army and Ernest Anders would join the Air Corps. Ronnie would serve in the Pacific and my father would serve in England.
