The Anders & Gertrude "Gertie" Nelson family farm in Painted Woods, North Dakota in 1919. My grandmother Clara Amelia (Nelson) Erickson grew up here and she would eventually marry my grandfather Frank Gustaf Severin Erickson and my father would inevitably be born here on August 4th, 1922. A nice photograph with the chickens loose on the grounds and the horseless buggy sitting waiting for a ride. |
