On either side of the Polaroid are the hand written birth-date archives of the Erickson and Nelson families. They date back to the late 1800s in Sweden to the early 1900s in North Dakota.

The names are of my grandparents Clara Amelia (Nelson) Erickson and Frank Gustaf Severin Erickson families. Their respective parents and siblings are listed below. Both the Nelson and Erickson families immigrated to the states in 1903.

The Nelson's homesteaded land in Burleigh County, North Dakota before they built up their farm in Painted Woods along the Missouri River. The Erickson's farm was in Regan, just outside of Wilton, North Dakota.
