A beautiful photograph of the Erickson family farm of my great grandparents Christine Brita (Olson-Anderson) and Anders Alfred Erickson in Regan, North Dakota in 1942. Parked near the barn like an image out of a 1930s black and white gangster movie is my grandfather Frank Severin Erickson's 1938 Nash Lafayette 4 door Sedan, possibly the Ambassador model. The expansive blue sky and the white clouds make this photo spectacular.

Six of the seven Erickson brothers and sisters were born in Sundsvall - Torpshammer, Sweden before the family immigrated to the states in 1903 and settled on this farm in North Dakota. My uncle Alphonse "Al" Erickson was born in Bismarck, North Dakota in 1905 and raised along with his siblings on this vast landscape of the Great Plains.
