George 'Al' Swanson was a long time family friend of the Ericksons and the Nelsons. Al came to the states along with the Nelson cousin Allan Norbery from Landskrona, Sweden in 1916. The photograph was taken on Al and Grace Swanson's farm in Wilton, North Dakota in 1928. My father Ernest Anders was six years old at the time in the photograph.
