Back in 1920 when this photograph was taken, heading north from Bismarck, on Highway 1804 with the Missouri River skirting alongside on the left and fifteen miles west of Wilton you will be witness to the beautiful sight of Wildwood Lake in McLean County.

My grandparents Clara Amelia Nelson & Frank G. S. Erickson just about a year or so before they got married enjoy an afternoon of swimming at Wildwood Lake in the Summer of 1920.
