My aunt Abbie Ebba Angnis Kristina Erickson and my grandfather Frank Gustaf Severin Erickson (on right) horsing around with (at this time two unknown fellows) along the Missouri River in North Dakota.

My guess on this photograph year wise is this. Abbie was born in Sundsvall, Sweden in 1898 and she looks around twenty years old. Frank came back from serving in France with the 308th Infantry, in mid 1919, eight months after his lucky escape from the Argonne Forest and being here as you see a surviving member of the "Lost Battalion." Finally from the fact they are swimming in North Dakota I come to the conclusion this is late Summer or early Fall of 1919.
