My grandmother Clara Amelia Yunhild (Nelson) Erickson sitting on the front stairs of her just completed home at 801 Jefferson Avenue in Bismarck, North Dakota. My grandfather Frank and his brother Andy (Anders) Sebran, with help from my father Ernest Anders built the home between 1934 and 1935. On the left side in front of the garage is my grandfather Frank's 1934 Austin Model A. The Austin Company was an American automobile manufacturing corporation and was founded in 1929. It produced motorcars licensed from the British Austin Motor Company from 1930 through 1934, when it filed for bankruptcy. Below are a few other photographs of 801 Jefferson over the years. The first two are other views from 1936. Next from 1959 and shows the growth of the trees that Frank planted in the mid 1930s. Final image is of Clara standing outside in the cold snowy Winter of 1967. Alongside is Frank's 1958 Chevrolet Yoeman Station Wagon. |
