My father's cousin, Robert 'Bob' Nelson in 1967 with his airplane at the Lockheed Airfield in Burbank, California. Bob was earlier in the Air Force and flew cargo planes all over the world, to the Congo, Central and South America. He worked for Lockheed Aircraft in Burbank for a number of years.

In the photograph below, taken in the Winter of 1936 has my father Ernest Anders Erickson at fifteen in his full Charles Lindbergh aviator threads; leather jacket, pants, shirt and the coolest high laced boots. He was looking pretty snappy in the middle of the Depression in Dakota.

Alongside are his cousin Robert 'Bob' Nelson and their grandfather, Anders Nelson on the family farm in Painted Woods, North Dakota.

Robert 'Bob' Andrew Nelson on was born on November 24th, 1933 in North Dakota. Bob passed in 2000 in Lake Isabella, Kern County, Ca. Bob married Marlene Joyce Lusky on October 1st, 1963 in Los Angeles, Ca. Marlene was born on December 21st, 1936 in St Louis County, Minnesota, and passed on February 20th, 2014 in Lake Isabella, Kern County, California.

Bob and Marlene had the 3 sons:
Wesley Robert Nelson was born about 1965.
Mike Nelson was born about 1967.
Jeff Nelson was born in 1969.
