A photograph of my cousin Edith Louise (Rippe) Weber (daughter of Winnie and Maurice Rippe) taken in Brooklyn, New York in 1943. Her brother Benjamin 'Ben' Nathan Rippe had just left for his military assignment in Europe.

Edith Louise is the mother on Ann (Weber) Benson and Andy and Stephen William Weber.

Ann wrote this about her mother recently:

My mom went to Sargent College which is now part of Boston University. She later taught ballroom dancing at the Arthur Murray studio and danced with Arthur Murray. She had her own dance studio in the 1950s and could teach anyone to dance! She was very graceful.

Edith did a lot of Christian Science church work in Boston and was instrumental in getting the reading room situated outside of the church building. Having it on a busy public street was ideal and the better location.

She and her brother Ben loved our house in Vermont where my brother Andy and I spent our summers for many years. Andy adored Peacham, Vermont.
