Heading north from Bismarck, North Dakota on Highway 1804 with the Missouri River skirting alongside on the left and fifteen miles west of Wilton you will be witness to the beautiful sight of Wildwood Lake in McLean County.

My grandfather Frank Gustaf Severin Erickson and uncle Sture Albin Nelson slow down for a portrait while they are swimming in Wildwood Lake in the Summer of 1921.
