Frank Severin Erickson
Ernest Julius Erickson
Andrew Anders Sebran Erickson
American Expeditionary Force 1918 - 1919
Out West & North Dakota

My grandfather Frank Severin Erickson's Life Insurance certificate dated July 8th,1918, exactly a month before departing from the Brooklyn (NY) Harbor on August 8th, 1918 heading to England. Frank had joined the American Expeditionary Force in Fall of 1917 and he eventually would be heading to combat in France as a member of the 308th Infantry.

Frank soon enough found himself along with his Company H in the midst of the Battle of the Argonne Forest, in what was referred to as "The Meuse - Argonne Offensive, that began September 26th, 1918. His involvement as a rifleman / runner with the famed "Lost Battalion," is chronicled through-out Franks's pages here on the website.
