Frank Severin Erickson
Ernest Julius Erickson
Andrew Anders Sebran Erickson
American Expeditionary Force 1918 - 1919
Out West & North Dakota

A forward mailing postcard my grandfather Pvt. Frank Gustaf Severin Erickson sent to his folks Christine Brita (Olson) and Anders Alfred Erickson in Dakota notifying them where to mail future letters. He left by ship from the Brooklyn Harbor on August 5th, 1918 and arrived safely in Liverpool, England by mid month.

Frank was with the American Expeditionary Force and soon enough would serve with the 308th Infantry in France.

Frank would go on to participate along with the 308th and his Company C in the "Meuse Argonne Offensive" that began in late September of 1918 and culminate for Frank in his narrow escape on October 8th. He was a very fortunate surviving member of the famed, "The Lost Battalion."
