My grandfather, Frank Gustaf Severin Erickson's last Lost Battalion reunion that he participated in was in New York City in 1968. An article below on the NYC reunion gives some details. Frank was part of an elite group, as a surviving member of the Lost Battalion, having served with the 308th Infantry of the 77th Division and a runner / rifleman with Comapny H under the command of Captain William J. Cullen. Major Charles White Whittesely was commander of the 1st Battalion.
