My Great Anders & Gerda Miljander (Nilsson) Nelson ran a Farm in Painted Woods in Burleigh County, North Dakota from 1903 through 1946 soon after they and their four children, one being my Grandmother Clara Amelia Erickson who stands front and center in the photograph, emigrated from Landskrona, Sweden. Clara was five months old when she arrived in North Dakota and told me countless tales of growing up on the farm.
