My father Ernest Anders Erickson (bottom row - far left) at Gatow Airfield, on the edge of Berlin, Germany during a project with Lockheed Aircraft and the Luftwaffe (German Air Force). The group is standing in front of a F-104 Starfighter and the ground crew, pilot, Lockheed employees etc were all connected with the Zell (zero-length launch) Project. Looking straight into the sun, my father should have kept his sunglasses on. But his smile is fantastic and he had a great time working with the Germans. Our family lived in Munich for over two years during his work there.
